TRASH

Bad Art Presents Trash - a group exhibition of contemporary artists who have created work for the purpose of its own destruction. Trash seeks to protest art as an imperishable, precious institution, focusing more on the transient and experiential. The audience will destroy the artwork over the course of the workshop, taking control of the final outcome away from the artist. When is the show complete? Is it before, during or after the destruction?

With Trash, we are questioning and transforming the fundamental condition of how modern art functions – namely, the radical separation of artists and their publics.

We would like to invite artists to join the event, either as a destructor or creator. If you would like to propose a piece for the workshop please email anna@badartpresents.com or fill out the form below before, otherwise anyone is free to attend and take part. We encourage to get creative when thinking of all the different ways a work can be taken apart in order to become something greater.

21st of February, 1pm-330pm, Woburn Project Area

Please note the workshop will be filmed
